Week commencing 16th July saw our students taking part in activity days at Colwick Adventure Centre.

Invitation to Parliamentary Review 2018-2019 for Best Practice for Secondary Education

We are proud to have been invited to be part of the Parliamentary Review 2018-2019 to share our best practice for secondary education.

We are pleased to have accepted this invitation and look forward to sharing the publication with partnerships, parents and stakeholders.

A member of our staff will be in Houses of Parliament in March 2019, where they will discuss and share with MP’s including Lord Blunkett, the Rt Hon Sir Eric Pickles and other representatives from secondary education settings, the challenges we have faced and many successes we have experienced at Crisp Vocational Provision.

Volunteering Opportunities

Crisp Vocational Provision has a wide range of Volunteering opportunities in several different roles for suitable candidates who wish to make a difference.

This opportunity will give volunteers opportunities to support the young people who attend Crisp and their families and help to make a difference to their lives and the lives of their families.

Responsibilities and Duties

Roles include

-Support within the classroom (small groups or One to One)

-Lunchtime and break time supervision

-Support with off site visits

-Support with external exams (Functional Skills)

-Vocational and Academic support

-Supporting with Parent /Caring Meetings

-Pastoral support

-Creating displays of students work


In return our volunteers will:

-Receive an enhanced DBS

-Learn new skills

-have the opportunity of a stepping stone to employment.

-be given thorough safeguarding training

-be given an opportunity to “Give back”

Fantastic Turn Out for the Provision open Morning


On Wednesday 16th December , CVP welcomed over 60 visitors to the provision for a fun filled morning.

Schools ,friends and families joined in with students to do various practical activities , get photo’s with rare vehicles and enjoy the refreshments on offer.

The open day raised £100 which has been donated to Bestwood and Bulwell food bank.

Provision charity open morning

CVP is running an open morning on 16th December , 2015 between 10am -1pm.

There will be lots of activities and practical demo’s show cased by our students as well as photo opportunities with a small collection of rare vehicles.

Refreshments will be on sale and all proceeds will be donated to Bestwood and Bulwell Food bank.

Pilgrim Mk 2 Pit Stop Project

Our students who attend on Fridays have the task of converting this basic shell into a road legal vehicle . As part of the ‘Pit stop’ project the students will be involved in all aspects of this restoration project including Planning ,Auto electrics ,Body work and MechanicsDSCN7632
